2018-2019 Program Schedule- UPDATED 10-6-18(PDF)

Important update!  The October 26th session is at the Ridgefield Library, not Town Hall.

Civic Leadership – Overview

Please be sure to share this fun video with your daughter so she has some context for the fall sessions which focus on civic leadership at the local, state and federal levels.

Optional Assignment before Local Lady Leaders session on Oct 26th:

Assignment:   Look through your local newspaper and find a topic that you care about.   Think about your opinion on the topic.  Do you agree with decisions that are being made about that topic?

Assignment before State Leaders session on Nov 16th:

Assignment:   Ask your parents to bring you to the polls on Election Day, November 6th.  You won’t be able to vote yourself, but you can see how the process works.  And be sure to bring an “I voted” sticker to the next session so you can be recognized.

Preparation (optional):   Bring in old magazines, photos, stickers and anything else your daughter may want on her Vision Board.  We will have all the supplies she needs (posterboard, glue, tape, scissors, stickers, magazines), but it would be ideal for the girls to bring images that are most meaningful to them personally to supplement what we provide.
