Hersha ChauhanHersha Chauhan is a senior at Ridgefield High school. She was a Ms. President participant in 2018 when she was elected as Ms President of Ridgefield. This is her fourth year as a mentor and she is co president of the Junior Advisory Board.
Inspired by the mission of Ms President, Hersha founded her own nonprofit Shared Empowerment dedicated to supplementing the education of young girls in underprivileged areas. With this nonprofit she has fundraised for three schools internationally. At the high school Hersha is involved as a captain and lawyer of the mock trial team and is Vice President of the Executive Board of Student Government. Ms President sparked Hersha’s interest in government and politics. Since, she has worked on three campaigns for local government for the Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee, State Representative Aimee Berger Girvalo, and State Senator Will Haskell. She hopes to continue to encourage young girls to strive for leadership positions and is excited for the rest of the year with Ms President! |
