Alyza CrookAlyza Crook is currently a senior at Ridgefield High School. This is her third year as a mentor for Ms President US, and she is also serving on the Junior Board as treasurer. She hopes to help young girls find their voices and stand up for what they believe in.
Alyza enjoys helping her community and has been a girl scout for almost thirteen years. She has worked hard to receive her girl scouts gold, silver, and bronze awards for community service. Also, Alyza loves working with younger kids. She has been a counselor in training for the past two summers, at her Taekwondo studio, and at Woodcock Nature Center, and plans to continue working at camps next summer as a counselor. This year, Alyza plans to take part in the club, We the People, in which political topics are talked about in an all-inclusive environment. The club was founded with the hope that people with differing views can still get along. Alyza also played flute in her school's band class and sings in the Madrigals, an audition-based acapella group. Alyza also started her own club, RHS Sings, which is an inclusive club with the mission of finding joy in singing, open to everyone. In addition, Alyza enjoys practicing taekwondo and is a second-degree blackbelt. |
