Ali HaganiAli Hagani is a senior at Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge, CT. Ali is big on promoting community at her school. She is a member of the One Book, One Amity Committee which organizes a community-wide read every year, is a writing tutor at her school, a tutor at New Haven Reads, and one of the editors for her school’s newspaper. She, along with two other MPU mentors, is in close communication with the Peace Corps’ Let Girls Learn Program to help raise awareness on the educational circumstances in many third world countries, as well as to promote educational appreciation and youth activism within her own community.
Ali also serves as a Youth Attorney and on the Board of Directors at Project Youth Court, a local nonprofit centered in New Haven that advocates for restorative justice among young offenders. She also serves as the vice president of her school’s music department. In her free time, Ali enjoys to read, hike, hang out with friends, and spend time with her dog. She is excited to promote female empowerment with Ms. President US and looks forward to a great year! |
