Pamela Miles:   I think of myself as a Life Midwife, utilizing my background as a childbirth educator, spiritual birth attendant, pregnancy yoga teacher and integrative health coach. In my private practice and group programs I provide guidance, inspiration and practical tools encouraging women of all ages to increase their practice of self-care to harness the value of the body/mind/spirit connection and enjoy a healthier happier life.

After years attending women in birth and teaching private childbirth classes, I began working with the Healthy Mother’s Healthy Babies program providing childbirth education to clinic patients in Broward County. In the late 1990’s I coordinated the Palm Beach County Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program. “Teen Time” was a partnership of government, public and private health providers offering services to young people seeking health care as well as decision making and communication tools. We provided access to education, services and support to help them face the challenges of navigating intimacy in relationships.

When I returned from Florida to Connecticut I took on the role as executive assistant to Jack Mitchell, CEO of Mitchells Stores. For twelve years we worked side-by-side in the Westport, Greenwich and Long Island stores as well as writing, publishing and promoting his best-selling book HUG YOUR CUSTOMERS. In 2008 I was promoted to Director of Business Development for the HUGS brand and Jack’s book HUG YOUR PEOPLE was published.

I left the Mitchell family business to become an entrepreneur. As an “author liaison” I developed speaking platforms and executed marketing plans for books and films created by successful business people.

In 2015 I returned to my career in the health and wellness arena and established Wisdom of Within. My private coaching practice is located in Ridgefield, Connecticut at the Center for Healing, alongside my husband, clinical psychologist, Dr. Billings Fuess.
